The first leg of my bachelor (bachekor’s?) party is underway: I’m on a bus. To home.
But from there it’s off to montreal with some of my best friends in the world.
This post is shitty already. I’ll get better at this blogging thing as I go, I swear.
I’m really pumped for it though. You only do it once (except when all my other friends get married) so I’m trying to do it right. My buddies and I went to Montreal 7 years ago when we were babies and couldn’t legally drink stateside.
Now we’re men. Seriously though, we’ve come a long way since then. We’ve graduated college, found jobs, battled addiction, started families, and struggled to find our identities in the real world apart from each other.
We’ve all gone different ways but having them reunite with me in the same place, 7 years later means the distance between us is only geographic.
As I’m typing this I’m realizing how lucky I actually am. Maybe this blogging stuff will be good for me. And maybe I’ll get better as I go.
That’s way more than enough reflection and introspection though. Excuse me while I go do shots of jack and throw up on Jeff’s bed again.
How I feel right now.
When I actually win one poker night.
I really wanted to give this tumblr a theme and try to keep to it. It was going to be great. Everyone who enjoyed TV and Internets and Music but was always a little behind the curve (like me) could come here and laugh as we discovered things together. Ain’t no one got time for that.
This is just going to be about me. And things I like. And things I find funny. And anything I care to share about my upcoming wedding, job search, and life as an MBA student. If you don’t like it, you’ll probably stop reading after this post. That’s fine, we weren’t right for each other anyway.
So for a blog dedicated to media technologically challenged people, I think I’m off to a good start. I was unable to post my first gif of Gollum for some reason I couldn’t figure out and my second gif looks like your watching a scrambled channel a la 2002. I can only imagine I’ll get better from here!
I’ve recently finished HBO’s The Wire and this is how I feel every time I try referring to it in the year 2013.
